Title I is a part of the Elementary and Secondary School Act more commonly known as No Child Left Behind. It is the largest federal aid program for our nation's schools. The Title I Program at Washington Elementary strives to provide a high quality education for EVERY child, measure student progress using local and state assessments, ensure schools develop and implement a school improvement plan to increase student achievement, provide additional programs, resources and staff to meet the needs of all students, and increase parental involvement.
